CROTABI is a “web travel guide” that provides tourist information about Croatia, as well as former Yugoslavia and Central Europe.
All articles on this site are written by two locally based licensed tourist guides in Croatia – Vedran, a Croatian and Mami, originally from Japan , fell in love with Croatia and now calls it home.
Countries of the former Yugoslavia, including Croatia, may still feel like distant or vaguely familiar places to many people.
Yet within this region are charming towns and stunning landscapes still waiting to be discovered, along with warm, welcoming locals whose kindness and smiles leave lasting impressions, and a peaceful, down-to-earth way of life that embraces simple joys.
In recent years, as global awareness of the region has grown, more and more people have begun visiting—even from faraway places, including Asia.
Yet depending on where travelers come from, tourist information about this area can still be quite limited. There are many wonderful places that don’t appear in some guidebooks—unique shops, cozy restaurants, and sights worth exploring.
